About me

My name is Anthony Scavarelli and am currently in my final years of an interactive multimedia and design degree at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada.
I have had internships with such employers as the Public Health Agency of Canada, Fuel Industries, and Adobe as a flash/web developer, and have grown to enjoy coding in a more creative form. I also enjoy illustration, design, and learning the cello in my spare time.
To me, form is ubiquitous with function. Whether it be the layout of some actionscript classes and their respective instances, properties, and methods … or the placement of a button and its role of colour in navigation, I believe there is no such thing as form over function or function over form. That truly the ideal and most profound works of “art”, within the interactive and graphic design world, are born of a delicate amalgamation of both form and function whose relational ratios to each other change depending on the project.
I can no claim to be an expert; but I hope that by sharing what I learned these last few years that we can all learn a little bit more – even if only a different perspective.
